Krista Ramonas, M.D., FAAO

Founder & CEO

Dr. Krista Ramonas is an accomplished physician and surgeon and is double Board certified in Ophthalmology (AAO) and Longevity Medicine (A4M) and is a distinguished member of NAMS (North American Menopause Society).

Dr. Ramonas’ academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-medical studies from Georgetown University. She then pursued her passion for medicine by earning her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Loyola Stritch Chicago. Dr. Ramonas’ dedication to the field of ophthalmology led her to complete an Ophthalmology Residency at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan. Her quest for excellence continued with a Fellowship in Ocular Oncology at The UCSF Medical Center, where she honed her skills in a highly specialized area of ophthalmology.

As an accomplished and dedicated professional, Dr. Ramonas is currently Board Certified in Ophthalmology and holds the distinguished status of being a diplomat of both the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. Her commitment to maintaining the highest standards in her practice has made her a respected figure in the medical community.

Dr. Ramonas has been serving the San Francisco community since 2004, bringing her expertise and compassion to patients in need. In 2018, she extended her passion for healthcare by founding the Health Navigator Foundation in partnership with the world-renowned California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in San Francisco, CA. The foundation’s primary mission is to provide equitable access to life-saving surgical procedures for patients who would otherwise be unable to afford them. Dr. Ramonas has played a pivotal role in this initiative, serving as the Medical Director, Co-founder, and Board Member. She is also on the Board of the Pacific Vision Foundation which provides equitable access to vision care.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Ramonas exemplifies the spirit of humanitarianism. She has dedicated over 12 years to volunteering at the San Francisco Free Clinic, where she has made a profound impact on the community’s underserved population.  Additionally, Dr. Ramonas has participated in more than ten surgical mission trips around the world, providing her medical expertise to those in need and touching countless lives. She is also a Board member of the Pacific Vision Foundation which provides equitable access to eye care for patients in need in California.

Dr. Ramonas is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology as well as the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (Longevity Medicine) which is a testament to her commitment to staying at the forefront of her field and providing the highest quality of care to her patients.

Chenyu LeBaron, N.P.

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Chenyu comes to The Lab with 7 years of experience at Palo Alto Integrative Medicine, where she has been a pioneer in the delivery of platelet rich plasma (PRP) for face and hair. She has also worked as an Operating Room Nurse for Sutter Health using PRP therapies in the OR. At The Lab she performs phlebotomy and advanced aesthetic services including PRP precision microneedling for younger looking skin and acne scarring, PRP hair loss therapy for thicker and healthier hair and Botox or Xeomin (preservative-free) cosmetic treatments to soften facial wrinkles. Chenyu graduated from the University of San Francisco with an MS degree in Registered Nursing.

Chrissy Taw, R.N.

Registered Nurse

Chrissy Taw, a certified Registered Nurse, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University. Additionally, she is a licensed medical Esthetician who brings over 8 years of medical and cosmetic dermatology experience working at Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology. Chrissy is an expert skincare analyst who has succeeded in developing integrative treatment plans to achieve skincare goals. Her hobbies include all things dog, including a pet product line called Mijo & Bambi, fashion, interior design, piano, travel, cooking, yoga, and cycling.
